I have been using a set of the Peragos 150 lights for about two months now. I’m so impressed with the way the lights have integrated into my system so well. The appeal was the use of the existing modifiers I already had, and how lightweight they are for travelling, and location shoots, yet still giving an impressive output.

In CCT mode, the Vibesta Peragos Head 150C can go from 1.500°K to 30.000°K with full minus green/magenta, providing a huge colour temperature range for filmmakers and photographers to work with.

Incredible Brightness

In combination with their specially designed reflector and optional lenses, attachable through the magnetic attachment system, the Peragos Head 150  produces a brightness equivalent to an 800-1000W incandescent tungsten light. The magnetic attachment system is a bit of a bonus, being simple and easy to use.

Effects

The Vibesta Peragos Head 150C comes with multiple built-in lighting effects, including candle, clouds, club, colour chase, cop car, fire, fireworks, fluorescent, lightning, light strobe, paparazzi, party, pulsing, television, and welding. Some of these I found useful, some a bit unnecessary, but it depends on what you are looking for - the choice is there.

Whatever you think about these added effects, without the need for complex lighting rigs, they allow image makers to quickly and easily add dynamic lighting to their scenes via the simple LED menu controls. It’s worth scrolling through them all to get an idea of the possibilities.

Compact & Lightweight

Each Peragos Head is just 22 cm long and weighs less than 2kg. Its compact size, and lightweight design, make it a good option for travelling and location shoots.

But don’t be fooled by its size - the Peragos 150 RGBW LED light packs quite a punch when it comes to output. It's perfect for lighting up a set and boosting the ambience, but it also has the finesse to light tabletop product setups and food and drink commissions.

I went for the Peragos 150 x 2 head kit, with magnetic modifiers. Unpacking this little lot was like Christmas as it comes with a huge variety of accessories - magnetic modifiers, domes, and compact soft boxes to name a few, but all making it even more versatile.

You can use the kit as you would a dedo light to finesse your lighting or light up the entire set (depending on the size of your set obviously).

V Lock Battery-powered and Compatible with Profoto/Bowens-mount Lighting Modifiers

The Peragos 150 RGBW LED lights by Vibesta, as well as being mains powered, are also V Lock battery compatible via the V-lock Adapter plate, making them super portable and easy to travel with. You don't have to worry about finding a power source, and you can set up your lights anywhere you need them.

Another great feature of this light is that it's compatible with Profoto/Bowens-mount lighting modifiers. The Light attachments are set up for a Pro-photo mount, but with a simple Pro-photo to Bowens adapter, you can use many existing modifiers, saving you money and expanding your creative options. The versatility expands when you use the Magnetic Lightshaper System.

Finesse Your Lighting

Its portability and compatibility with existing modifiers, light output, and a variety of accessories make the Peragos 150 system a must-have for any photographer or videographer.

The light also has an adjustable refresh rate of up to 125000 Hz which makes it flicker-free when you are shooting at higher frame rates.

I found, in colour mode, the Vibesta Peragos Head 150C provides access to the traditional RGB/HSI/x,y co-ordinate modes, which allowed me to adjust the light's colour easily to my preferences. This feature gave me more creative control over my lighting setups, achieving the desired mood and atmosphere for a variety of set ups.
